Our History
More than 50 years of innovation, design and service shape the self-conception and the experience of E.I.S. Aircraft. Since its foundation as Alfons Pützer AG in 1953, the company has continuously extended its product and service portfolio and is a recognised partner to many national and international enterprises in civil and military aviation.
 
1953 Foundation of Alfons Pützer AG

1966 Change of name to Sportavia GmbH

1969 Acquisition of shares by RFB (part of the VFW / Fokker corporate group)

1988 Change of name to AVIOSTAR GmbH

1992 ABS Aircraft acquires RFB and AVIOSTAR

1994 E.I.S. Aircraft GmbH is founded under ABS Aircraft

1995 IVG AG becomes the new owner of E.I.S. Aircraft
1997 E.I.S. Aircraft extends its product portfolio to include cabin interior maintenance, foundation of the Munich and Frankfurt facilities
1998 Aviapartner, one of the leading companies in aviation ground handling, acquires E.I.S. Aircraft

1999 E.I.S. Aircraft launches slow aerial target demonstration with PC-9/B aircraft for military exercise purposes

2002 Expansion of the cabin interior portfolio for curtain header systems for the Airbus long range fleet

2003 E.I.S. Aircraft becomes subcontractor for BAE Systems in the area of target demonstration
2003 Financial investor 3i aquires Aviapartner
2006 E.I.S. Aircraft achieves A1 status for aircraft maintenance at the Munich facility

2008 Service and repair contract with RECARO for business seats at the Frankfurt facility

2009 Foundation of the E.I.S. Aircraft Mönchengladbach facility for general aviation

2011 Change of ownership - private investors acquire E.I.S. Aircraft GmbH
2012 Foundation of the E.I.S. Aircraft Cologne facility for commercial aviation maintenance and Kiel and Leer for general aviation
